net includes a swap meet and “tech”-net.

gain all those nifty HF privileges - talk the world WITHOUT using
IRLP or EchoLink!!
- Saturday,
March 27, 2010 - "Class Followup/Technician Refresher Course"
- optional final "hands-on" day for the just concluded Technician
course(s). This will include some review of crucial areas, as well
as getting new operators on the air, assigning "Elmers" to help
them along, and helping select radio equipment suitable if it's
time to purchase that first radio. While this is mainly
geared towards finalizing the class from the previous weekend, any
licensed amateur is welcome to come if they feel it would be
helpful, especially for those wishing to "re-learn" or better
understand the information from their Technician licensing class.
Lots of Hands-On, and class is informal and tailored to
attending students to cover areas and issues of their own
choosing.

April 23,24,25, 2010 - Fund Raising Food Booth at the
Astoria-Warrenton Crab Festival. Contact Nancy Lee (KD7IBA's
XYL) or a board member to get on the list to help.
- Starting
May 8th, there will be a Fox Hunt (Hidden transmitter location)
activity on the 2nd Saturday of each month, starting at 12 noon.
Locations will vary.
- Sat/Sun
May 15, 2010 - "Mouth of the Columbia" Day - our own little
"mini-field day" held in memory of N7LWQ. 24 hours of DX's
from the Jetty Platform parking lot in Fort Stevens.
Combining camping out, BBQ'ing, and Ham radio into a fun
day.
- June
brings Sea-Pac (Largest ham conference west of the Mississippi) for
which we need talk-in personnel, and our SEARC/STARS combined
Spaghetti feed (all hands drill!) both the first weekend, as well
as Field Day the last weekend.
