National Traffic System Daytime
Region Seven Directed Net (DRN7) • Covers Canada, Washington,
Oregon, Idaho and Montana
Daily on 3.925 MHz (80M)
at 9:45 AM and 3:15 PM and begin calling for early
checkins from 5 to 10 minutes prior to that.
As band conditions improve you may find the net on
7.238 MHz or 7.280 MHz (40M).
This net is one of the means how traffic gets into and out of
Oregon.
Unless you are handling traffic, you get excused after about 5
minutes so it's not something that ties you up for a long
time.
Any traffic received from DRN7 needs to be taken to state nets
such as OARES, Beaverstate, or OEN and listed there for someone to
deliver it.
